Day 1
Arrival & Historic Erie
Upon arrival in Erie, meet your guide and begin your adventure with a guided tour of the beautifully restored Warner Theatre, an original Warner Brothers built venue that still hosts plays, concerts, and shows today.
Check into your hotel and then head out for dinner at the Concourse of Union Station. While dining, learn about the history of this grand 1927 train station, now transformed into a stunning event space filled with vintage charm.
Day 2
Lighthouses, Churches & a Lake Erie Sunset
Begin your day with a visit to the historic Erie Land Lighthouse. Climb to the top for a panoramic view and hear the fascinating history of the first lighthouse commissioned on the Great Lakes.
Continue to the Erie Maritime Museum to discover the city's maritime legacy, especially its role in the War of 1812, through engaging exhibits and authentic artifacts.
Enjoy lunch on your own at Flagship Erie or one of the nearby downtown eateries.
In the afternoon, tour the striking St. Patrick’s Church, designed to resemble the castles of Ireland, and then visit the ornate Church of the Nativity, a beautiful Russian Orthodox church with a rich history of its own.
In the evening, relax aboard The Victorian Princess for a sunset dinner cruise, where you’ll enjoy a buffet meal and stunning views of the Lake Erie shoreline at dusk.
Day 3
Presque Isle, Sundaes & Farm-to-Table Fun
Start the day with a visit to the Firefighters Historical Museum to see antique fire engines, old alarm boxes, and fascinating firefighting history.
Then explore the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, which highlights the natural beauty and ecology of Presque Isle State Park. Take the elevator to the observation deck for a full 360-degree view of Erie and the lake.
Enjoy a cookout lunch followed by a motorcoach tour through Presque Isle State Park with several scenic stops along the way.
Next, satisfy your sweet tooth at Sally’s 1950s-style diner with a classic ice cream sundae.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Splash Lagoon indoor water park to discover how this fun-filled attraction operates behind the scenes.
Conclude your day at Burch Farms Farm Market, a fifth-generation apple farm where you can enjoy wine tasting, dinner, and weather permitting a hayride. Be sure to check out the bakery before you go!
Day 4
Edinboro Excursion & Maple Syrup Magic
Travel to Edinboro and begin your morning at Scotland Yard Greenhouse, where you’ll create your own floral arrangement and explore the picturesque grounds full of plants, flowers, and gardening tips.
Continue to Hurry Hill Maple Farm for a deliciously educational experience. Learn about the maple syrup-making process, sample tasty treats, and explore the maple museum. You'll also hear about Miracle on Maple Hill, the Newbery Medal winning book inspired by the local area. Enjoy a maple-inspired light lunch and take a wagon ride out to the sugar house to see syrup production in action.
Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5
Art, Music & Farewell
On your final day, visit St. John’s Episcopal Church, home to a breathtaking full set of Tiffany stained-glass windows.
Next, explore DeBence Antique Music World, a one-of-a-kind museum featuring rare, fully functional mechanical musical instruments including the only working Berrywood A.O.W. Orchestrion in the world.
Wrap up your journey with lunch on your own and free time to explore nearby shops before saying farewell to your guide and beginning your journey home.
