Day 1 – Journey South Begins

 

• Sit back and relax as we head south toward warmer weather and Southern hospitality. Enjoy rest and meal stops en route before arriving in Knoxville, TN for an overnight stay at the Drury Inn & Suites Knoxville West. Dinner is on your own this evening.

 

Day 2 – Scenic Chattanooga: Mountains & Waterfalls

 

• Today we explore the stunning natural beauty of Chattanooga, TN!

• Begin with a guided tour of Ruby Falls, a breathtaking 145-foot underground waterfall nestled in Lookout Mountain.

• Continue with a self-guided tour of Rock City, famous for its ancient rock formations, the 200-foot Swing-A-Long Bridge, and panoramic views where you can “See Seven States.”

• Overnight at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Chattanooga, with an included dinner at The Public House Restaurant.

 

Day 3 – Onward to New Orleans

 

• Travel through Alabama and Mississippi as we make our way to New Orleans, where you’ll enjoy a 3-night stay at the Wyndham New Orleans French Quarter—the only hotel in the Quarter with a heated indoor pool.

• This evening, indulge in a classic Creole dinner at The Court of Two Sisters, a true New Orleans experience.

 

Day 4 – Steamboats & the French Quarter

 

• Board the historic Steamboat Natchez for a two-hour lunch cruise along the Mississippi River, complete with live jazz and narrated sightseeing.

• In the afternoon, a local guide joins us for a narrated tour of New Orleans, covering the vibrant French Quarter and historic highlights.

• Tonight’s dinner is at Oceana Grill, serving authentic Louisiana cuisine.

 

Day 5 – Mardi Gras Magic & Plantation Grandeur

 

• Start the day with a guided tour of Mardi Gras World, where the famous parade floats are designed and built.

• Then visit Houmas House Plantation, once called "The Sugar Palace." Enjoy a guided mansion tour featuring period antiques and Louisiana artwork.

• Spend your final evening in New Orleans at leisure—walk down Bourbon Street, shop local boutiques, or relax to the sound of street jazz.

 

Day 6 – Blues & Barbecue in Memphis

 

• Enjoy a scenic travel day as we head north to Memphis, TN.

• Tonight, explore the Beale Street Historic District, home to legendary blues clubs and music venues. Dinner is on your own at local hotspots like B.B. King's Blues Club or the Jerry Lee Lewis Café & Honky Tonk.

 

Day 7 – Elvis Presley’s Graceland

 

Spend the morning at Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley. Your Elvis Experience Tour includes:

• A guided mansion tour,

• Entry to Elvis’ airplanes and car museum,

• Career exhibits and personal memorabilia.

• For lunch, enjoy a Southern BBQ lunch at Central BBQ before checking in at the Drury Inn Memphis for a two-night stay.

 

Day 8 – Nashville: Music City & Riverboat Show

 

• Welcome to Nashville, TN! Enjoy a guided city tour, including stops at Music Row, Honky Tonk Row, Bicentennial Park, the State Capitol, and the Parthenon.

• Then board the General Jackson Showboat for a lunch buffet and live performance of “Tennessee Legends,” a musical journey through the roots of Southern music.

• This evening, we attend a live show at the Grand Ole Opry, the legendary stage that launched countless country music stars.

 

Day 9 – Country Music Hall of Fame & Farewell to Nashville

 

• Before we depart Music City, visit the renowned Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Explore over 40,000 square feet of exhibits, gold and platinum records, and legendary artifacts from country’s biggest stars.

• We then begin our journey home, full of music, memories, and Southern soul.

 

Day 10 – Homeward Bound

 

• After a remarkable journey through the heart of the South, we arrive home with stories, songs, and unforgettable experiences to cherish.
